A diet that is supposed to burn fat will often also give high carbohydrate foods a big thumbs down. The carbohydrates must be broken down to glucose and only then can they be burnt by the body. However, it is very tough to avoid carbohydrate rich food as it is present in very common food items like bread, buns and rice.

A carbohydrate blocker is one of the fat burning supplements that is said to convert carbohydrate to glucose and finally prevent fat accumulation. Since this report was published, there are many carbohydrate blockers that are available in the market. The main ingredient in this supplement is Hydroxycitric acid (HCA). Again as with some other fat burning supplements it is also reported to possibly cause health problems in the digestive system.

When most people are looking for hearing aids there is one question on there mind. How much do digital hearing aids cost? I know it was the first question I had when I was considering a hearing aid. I can’t believe I put it off as long as I did. I did not want to look like that old man with a chunky piece of plastic hanging off my ear. I imagined that people would be yelling at me thinking that I could not hear them.

The truth is that I have no problem hearing people in normal situations but I have problems when going out to dinner where there is a lot of background noise. I am so glad I did not put off getting a hearing aid any longer than I did. Wearing a hearing aid has changed my life.

Just bought the Polar f6

I just went to Joe’s and bought the a new Polar f6 heart rate monitor. This thing is sweet. I just hope it helps me reach my goal of being more active and loosing the weight that I’ve put on in the last year. I’m pretty determined this time around. I did a bunch of research on the Internet and decided that Polar heart monitor was the best option for me. I went for the Polar f6 because it had a lot of the more advanced features buy was more middle of the road price wise. I am definately going to post more about how my work outs go with this watch. My first trial will be tomorrow morning when I jog the lake.

New Quadpacer makes brushing easier

Sonicare has come out with a wonderful new feature on their toothbrushes that makes brushing your teeth much easier. The new feature now included on some Sonicare toothbrushes is the Quadpacer. The Quadpacer is a great new feature that helps you to stay on pace to finish your brushing within the allotted time of two minutes. The Quadpace is set to beep at your desired time intervals. When it beeps you are suppose to switch to the next section of your mouth. The results is that you stay on pace to finish your brushing in the time period. With the quadpacer you can personalize the time intervals and even extend your total brushing time by 30 seconds for those hard to brush areas. Currently the quadpace is only available on the Sonicare elite e9500 but it should be available on another Sonicare toothbrush soon.

Finding Free FrontPage Templates

I’ve been trying to learn how to do some web programming lately. I’ve got a
copy of Microsoft FrontPage 2003 that I got from work and I installed it on my
home PC. Then I started trying to figure out how to create a website using it.
That hasn’t been too easy so far. While I can setup WordPress OK and change
themes I really don’t understand much beyond that. But, I do believe in learning
by doing. So, I’ve been looking for Free Frontpage Templates I can use
to learn with.

I have found a couple of sites that had free templates but some of these are
kind of hard to follow or make you give your email address to download them. I
don’t like that. Others make them available with no string attached and that’s a
good idea. At this point I’m probably ready to get started with FrontPage
tutorials. I’ve found a few of these too.

I know that FrontPage is kind of outdated now but it is a lot easier to use
than some other programs I tried. Some were just too painfully complex for me to
use. But, hey, I’m not a web design pro and don’t desire to be. All I’m looking
for are some simple, easy to figure out, templates I can use to learn about
editing HTML using FrontPage. Is that too much to ask?

A Peaceful Day

We had so much fun today! This morning we decided to skip work and have a nice day of rest, laying in our garden, watching the waterfall in the garden fountain we’ve recently bought and installed nearby the wooden gazebo. So said and done, we made a couple of phone calls to let our colleagues we are not going to show up, then we prepared the coffee and went to drink it in the gazebo. It was such a lovely morning, the birds were singing, and we had the pleasure to see two butterflies which were playing among our flowers. Too bad they went away before I had the chance to bring in my photo camera. I would have had the chance to add some cool photos to my collection.
We don’t have a big garden, but we invested quite a lot of time and money in arranging it, so I can say that I enjoy every single moment I spend admiring it. There’s no wonder that I take advantage of it any time I can. And this is why I cannot stop myself from writing about it with every occasion.

Why Are Food Labels Written So Small?

One of my biggest concerns is my son’s health. Since Eddie has been diagnosed with allergic asthma, I can hardly forgive myself for not showing him to the doctor earlier. Nevertheless, as they say, it is better late than never, he’s got the diagnosis, he is currently on treatment and he’ll probably be for the rest of his life.

Another popular saying started to apply in our household: it is better safe than sorry. This being said, shopping for food has become a burden for me, because Eddie is allergic to peanuts, amongst other things, so I have to make sure he doesn’t eat even the slightest trace of peanut. I read so many labels that I now have to change my glasses and get some stronger ones. I think those marketing people and those designers who make the labels never read them, otherwise I can’t believe they’d still make them so tiny.

If any of you, food labels designers, read this, could you, please, write a bit bigger? Thank you.

Keep Notes

Keep notes at all times when you deal with customers and they want specifics done with their PC’s, the reason I can say this is because if you don’t and they come back crying about how they wanted this and that, and you say otherwise they will tell you everytime that they never said that. If you take notes however, you have proof that you wrote it all down as they said it. Then what can they say?

So always remember to keep good records and notes so you don’t fall into a mess like we did with a customer throwing back a million things they said we never did for them which was included in our price.

Intel Classmate Touchscreen PC Release

The new Touchscreen PC was shown off at Intels developer meeting in San Francisco this week. It looks like there is a lot of talk going around about more and more people wanting the option to go touch. I guess the iPhone craze brought on more touch options for consumers, and PC makers are following suit. If you are wondering what kind of specs this sucker has then check this out.

It has a hearty 8.9-inch touchscreen display with a super crystal 1024×600 resolution, and currently the PC Tablet runs on Intels’ Atom 270 1.6 GHz CPU, and will feature 1Gig of RAM, up to 8GB flash HDD, SD card slot, USB 2.0 port and a webcam that can catch your ugly mug at 180 degrees worth of angle. Talk about a sweet piece of machinery.

We love this idea and think that touch screens are only going to be growing in number and popularity. It may take a little while to catch on but soon it will be here.
